Making & Baking Wednesdays

Our midweek making and baking sessions certainly put a smile on the children’s faces – they love getting stuck in and then tasting the results of their hard work!

We often use ingredients that the children have helped to grow, for example in our Leek and Potato soup, which then doubles up as our mid-morning snack!  But don’t worry, children often bring their cooked creations home so parents, carers and grandparents can sample them too.

By making food with children we are helping them to develop new skills, build confidence, provoking their creativity and teaching them about science and healthy food choices.
